My Story
I am Karen Huggins- the heart and soul behind the brand. Just me in my little studio in Greenwich, London- producing big and bold clothing for toddlers and babies.
I imagine, design and produce the colourful creations of Little Huggins with warmth, passion and love. As a natural storyteller it feels only right that each piece is designed to take you on a journey.
My hope is that Little Huggins will be a friendly companion on the many adventures of the little one wearing them.
Standing the test of time (and tumbles).
You can find cosy, vibrant and unique styles made from intentionally sourced textiles and unique construction.
All to keep them comfy while looking fabulicious.
Because children are meant to stand out and in Little Huggins, they shine!

Little Huggins was born from a transformative moment in 2012 when I was inspired to create clothing for children under 5. A handmade design range bursting with colour, comfort, and creativity- for those who embrace their boundless imagination and curious minds.
Each piece is thoughtfully designed to provide freedom of movement for little ones who love to explore, while sparking joy with fresh ideas and unique concepts.
My goal is to bring smiles to children’s faces—and yours too.
Early Years
In my early years, I loved watching my mum create beautiful clothes for me.
She taught me how to sew on her cherished Pfaff sewing machine—a treasured piece I still have today.
I vividly remember the pride and joy I felt wearing the outfits she lovingly made for me. Each one a special reminder of her creativity and care.
As a teenager and into my early 20s, I began making clothes for myself, crafting outfits for special occasions and work.
To enhance my skills, I attended an evening class in adult learning, which deepened my passion for fashion design. This inspired me to pursue formal education- leading me to study Fashion, Design, and Technology at college, followed by advanced studies at the Kent Institute of Art and Design.
After graduating, I launched my first clothing brand, specialising in stylish, plus-size fashion for women.

Endless possibilities
After launching my first brand, I began receiving requests from individuals eager to learn sewing and clothes-making techniques. This sparked my passion for teaching, leading me to establish Fabulicious Sewing Divas, where I shared my skills and creativity.
To formalise my teaching journey, I enrolled in a teacher training course and gained valuable work experience at Lewisham College, where I soon became a course tutor, teaching all levels since 2002.
I also worked as a mentor supported young and new entrepreneur designers develop their own brands, as well as product designing/making for a number of companies.
I have rewarding and cherished memories and experiences having taught at various colleges across London and with all the people I have worked with.
I have taken a break from teaching to dedicate my focus to Little Huggins.
"A creative mind has endless possibilities... you just have to use your imagination!"
